The Story
Together, EQ and L WUD read a floor like it's written in braille, switching genres and eras without ever losing the pocket. Two different roads brought them to the same booth, and that's exactly what makes the '92 Crew sound the way it does.
Houston born, New Orleans raised, EQ grew up with that dirty south sound running through everything he touches. He started DJing back in high school, cutting his teeth spinning local parties before he could even properly drive to them. But the turntables are only half the story. EQ is also a trained musician: he plays keyboards, has come up through the ranks of local bands, and produces his own music in the studio. That background shows in every set: he's not just playing records, he understands how they're built, and it shows in the way he blends.
L WUD reigns from the West Coast, but years spent in Texas have folded that Southern flavor right into his sound. A longtime DJ and beat maker, he's always in the lab, crafting original beats and reworking familiar tracks into something you haven't quite heard before. Right now he's deep into producing his own tracks and building out a run of unique remixes, work that feeds straight back into his live sets. His crates run deep too, with a love for everything from '80s classics to old-school hip-hop and every era in between. That range is exactly why his sets never sit still, and why the crowd never quite knows what's coming next.
